INTRODUCTION

An alumna of both the Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music, Charlie-Jade Jones graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Musical Theatre and MSc in Performance Science, respectively. In addition, she holds a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music in Singing Teaching. She is currently, a PhD Candidate within the Centre for Performance Science, a collaboration between the Royal College of Music and Imperial College London. Supported by an RCM Doctoral Scholarship, her research sits within the areas of Performing Arts Medicine, Occupational Health, and Psychology. A highly experience singer and singing teacher, she has performed in London’s West End and Concert Halls, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, holds faculty positions at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and Arts Ed, and is the Assistant Professor of Singing at LAMDA. Frequently undertaking clinic observations at a leading NHS Voice Clinic, Charlie-Jade works alongside clinicians, is an Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine, and member of the British Voice Association and Healthy Conservatoires Network. The Practice was founded in 2023 to be a voice for performers’ health, putting research into practice and providing accessible information for performing artists, and those working with them.
